Stakeholder dialogue

Customers, citizens, those living near our installations, the representatives of licensing authorities, public authorities, employees, shareholders, local associations, NGOs… Our stakeholders' concerns vary widely. We strive to develop effective and thoughtful dialogue to respond to all their different expectations.
Customer satisfaction surveys and information meetings: two ways EDF ensures transparency.

Our stakeholders rightly demand clear information about all our operations—especially nuclear—and deserve to be assured that we operate in a safe, reliable manner. In France, we go beyond our legal obligations and hold informational meetings on our nuclear sites. These meetings are open to the general public and community organizations. Through the Local Information Commissions, the local government representatives can meet with the relevant social and economic players, associations, and local bodies to discuss social and environmental issues.

Listening is the first step to effective dialogue. Satisfaction surveys are one the fundamental tools we use to better understand our customers' expectations. We also maintain close links with a wide range of associations and NGOs.

The EDF Group international framework Agreement on CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) signed with national and sector unions in 2005 is a key part of social dialogue within the Group. A new international framework agreement (IFA) has been negotiated and signed for the period 2009-2013.
